Minimize Msn to System Tray in Windows 7

0 thumb(s)

Annoying thing that Windows 7 has new gui and controls, but fear not if you want to have your msn client minimized to the system tray. Follow these 4 steps(and it will behave as in Vista):

1. Close Msn completely.

2. Go to Program Files->Windows Live->Messenger right click on msnmsgr.exe and click properties.

3. In the "Compatibility" tab, check of "Run this program in compatibility mode for", and select "Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)" from the drop down list. Click OK.

4. Start Msn again. When you now click the X button in the top right corner, it will minimize to the System Tray!

EtherPad - multiple people edit the same document simultaneously FREE

0 thumb(s)

EtherPad say its the only "really real-time" web-based word processor. At this time its possibly true. Its really fast. They also added a playback function of the history of the pad, almost like in google wave.

You can create a pad to chat, write, brag or just tell a story. Generally, only people who know the URL to your pad will be able to access its contents. In this way, you can control access to a pad. You can think of the randomly-generated URL as a sort of password.

Get free apps - appstore cracked

installous

The best apps in the appstore usually cost money, but some dudes have made a "work around".

On your jail broken iPhone with Cydia installed, add the new source: http://cydia.hackulo.us and install the program: installous.

The program from Hackulo.us lets you get access/download/install some cracked apps that it basically gets from the net. A very easy and cool program, but a little slow as the interface is a web page inside the program.

Check out this video, self explaining:

Drop stuff in your own web box! - with DropBox

2 thumb(s)

Imagine you have a file on your computer at home that you want to open at work, at a friends house or maybe on your iPhone. What is the easiest way? USB-memory brick, send it to your online email account? Not anymore!

  • Access your Dropbox on the go
  • Download files for offline viewing
  • Sync photos and videos to your Dropbox
  • Share links to files in your Dropbox

DropBox is a program that can easily be installed on your computer(s) or iPhone through appstore. The whole idea is to easily share your files(with others or yourself). This is done by creating a folder on your hard disc that "auto magically" is synced with all your other dropbox installations.

There is also a web interface, which lets you access your files without installing anything. All you need is a browser.

The iPhone app is great. It lets you take a photo and directly add it to your dropbox, which then is synced to all the other boxes.
